“Japanese Water” is one of 4 designs created by Gareth Hollis as a part of his final year design project. This skateboard was the first full bleed I engraved, using a custom made lens with a 250mm focal distance. The lens spot size was considerably bigger that the 100mm lens I have been previously been using. This meant that some of the detail was lost, but the large focal depth allowed for a consistent engraving from the centre of the deck to the tips of the kicks.
