An Artist and Associate Lecturer based in Sheffield, Zoe works with various media – paper cut artwork, mural painting and prop making. Her work often includes geometric shapes, a nod to nature and a pop of colour.

‘I was a student at Anthony Gell School, 1991 – 1996 while living in Matlock Bath. My folks moved to Wirksworth around 1999 and having lived with them periodically over the years, and visited regularly too – I’ve watched the town change and grow into  a creative hub, I love coming home.’

‘I was thinking about the setting of the Skatepark and how it’s such a lovely spot to hang out with your pals – The design is crossover between being around in nature in the park and the block structure of the ramps.’

‘I start with a pencil sketch, and work out which pattern I want on which colour layer – sometimes this changes as the work continues, which I quite like – then I start cutting – I cut the entire pencil sketch on white card and use that as a template for the rest of the work.’
